The year 2016 has been an impressive year in African beauty, a year when women of colour were truly appreciated and celebrated.   In light of this, we are sharing picks for ten of the most beautiful African celebrities in the globe, and they’ve made our list for many special reasons. These gorgeous women are on our top 10 not just because they have good looks, but because they are strong, successful, full of impact, yet possessing the vibe and qualities which every woman needs to own.

If you could pick your top 10 most beautiful female African celebrities, who would make the cut? What would be your criteria for beauty? Is it looks? The beautiful Liya Kebede is an Ethiopian model, born and raised in Addis Ababa. She is also a maternal health advocate, clothing designer, and actress. Forbes identified her as the eleventh-highest-paid top model in the world in 2007, and she has appeared three times on the cover of U.S. Vogue.

2. Lola Ojetola

Lola Ojetola also known as LolaOJ is a popular British born entrepreneur and managing director of the lash extension brand “Blinx Lashes“.

3. Boitumelo “Boity” Thulo

Her demeanour is simply amazing. Boity Thulo is a South African actress, model and television presenter. Some of her roles on television include Mpho Bogatsu on TV series Rockville and Trisha on My Perfect Family. She co-hosted the SABC1 educational series The Media Career Guide Show in 2012 and Zoned in 2012.

The amazing beautiful-talented Boity has appeared on several television shows including the Vuzu Show 10 Over 10,  dance show Turn It Out on SABC1 and presented the 19th Annual South African Music Awards.

8. Flaviana Matata

Flaviana Matata is a Tanzanian beauty queen and fashion model. Flaviana won the first edition of the Miss Universe Tanzania pageant in 2007, and went on to represent her country in the Miss Universe pageant the same year, where she was placed among the top 15 semifinalists and ended up in 6th place after the evening gown competition.

She is also the first contestant from Tanzania to compete at the Miss Universe with a shaved head and boy did she slay it.
